We are delighted to announce that the latest development for AIMS is now ready.  An XML Web Service Interface that will enable different systems to exchange data seamlessly to the end user. So you can now offer your customers a single system where they can book their consignments and you don’t need to rekey any of the information. This not only saves time for all concerned it also reduces errors and provides your clients with a slicker, even more professional service.

We’re calling it the AIMS Web Service and it comes with a library of over 50 functions that can be used in a variety of ways to collect data.  This new nifty piece of software can be used to create consignments, create and print custom invoices, create and print shipping address labels (including barcodes), create driver collections, create stock bookings (for those of you offering warehouse/3PL services) and provides track and trace for consignments and stock bookings.

And, as you would expect, it includes interfaces to the systems used by FedEx, DHL, DPD, Interlink and Royal Mail.

We expect AIMS Web Service to be used in a couple of different ways. It can be used to accept product, consignment and collection data from external systems and then automatically translate the info for processing by the AIMS database.  This allows you to take consignment and pick information and directly process it in the warehouse to complete an order.

Also, the system can be used to take an order from your own in-house system for processing by AIMS. In addition we can provide software that will work with your e-commerce site so when your client receives an email automatically telling them when their order has been completed and the manifest closed.

As ever, our aim is to help you to make the most of your specialist knowledge by providing systems that help you to successfully and profitably compete with the big boys.
